Reverend Michael R. Crow has been the pastor of Barbers Memorial Missionary Baptist Church since 2005. He served under the leadership of Pastor C.L. Jackson, S.L. Jackson, and the late A.A. McCardell Sr. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Crow is an avid minister of the Gospel. He graduated from Forest Brook High School and served as Correctional Officer Supervisor for Residential Facilities for Community Supervision and Correction department for 20 years.
Reverend Crow is the originator of the Forest Brook Alumni Association. His church responsibilities include but not limited to worship planning, leadership, Bible teaching and working closely with other ministers to plan and implement youth activities and ministries such as discipleship training, Sunday school teaching, and street evangelism. He is also a facilitator of the literacy program, A Desire to Read, designed to help at risk youth and adults receive free assistance through his Reading and tutoring program. Through his ministry for the homeless, he sponsors food programs and back to school programs for at risk youth in the Cuney Homes community. Reverend Crow serves on the prison ministry and serves the seniors of the Cuney Homes.
Reverend Crow is the recipient of a kidney transplant and has been an advocate for other kidney and dialysis patients. He is a Member of the Ministries against crime organization and has coached the Amateur Athletic Union for over ten years. Reverend Crow has been married to First Lady Sharon Crow for over 29 years and they have two sons.
